MyResearchFolio: Advancing Open Science-Aware and Responsible Research Assessment
Description
This presentation introduces MyResearchFolio, a new approach developed within the Horizon Europe project GraspOS to support the shift towards Open Science–aware and responsible research assessment across Europe. While traditional evaluation systems often rely on narrow metrics, MyResearchFolio aims to provide a richer and more coherent picture of researchers’ trajectories by combining quantitative indicators with qualitative evidence of skills, contributions, and engagement.
The talk outlines the conceptual foundations underpinning the framework, drawing on insights from the OPUS and PathOS projects, as well as emerging guidelines on the responsible use of indicators. It discusses how narrative elements, Open Science practices, and diverse research outputs can be integrated into a structured profile to better reflect disciplinary differences and evolving academic roles.
The presentation also offers an early look at the developing prototype, demonstrating how information from infrastructures such as ORCID and the OpenAIRE Graph can be harmonised and visualised to support transparent and context-sensitive assessment. By situating MyResearchFolio within broader reform efforts, the session highlights how it can assist institutions, funders, and researchers in adopting more holistic and equitable evaluation practices.
