Description

Developed under the Unfake Social Media project’s Media Literacy Tools category, The Great Fact Chase transforms media-literacy learning into a lively outdoor challenge. Set in an open space, players run, dodge, and deliver “information cards,” embodying the chaotic speed at which facts and misinformation travel through today’s media ecosystem.

Instead of focusing on detailed analysis, the game uses movement and role-play to show how quickly information can be distorted, delayed, or lost when people aren’t paying attention. Players experience firsthand how misinformation outruns slow or uncertain decision-making, and how cooperation, communication, and awareness help protect credible information.

Energetic, physical, and highly engaging, The Great Fact Chase offers a refreshing break from seated learning while still reinforcing key media-literacy ideas. It leaves players more alert to the ways misinformation spreads — and more confident in navigating fast-moving information environments.
