Description
This info-pack presents the development of advanced process control and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling within the SINGLE project to optimize the operation of proton ceramic electrochemical reactors (PCERs). The models integrate gas flow, electrochemical reactions, heat transfer, and mass transport to improve cell and stack design, while control algorithms ensure safe, flexible, and energy-efficient operation. These tools enable real-time optimization of hydrogen production and adaptability to fluctuating renewable energy inputs.
