Bridging the Global Divide: Identifying Critical Gaps in Supply Chain Education and Vocational Training Curriculum Design and Delivery
Description
Global supply chains face unprecedented complexity, yet educational and vocational training systems struggle to keep pace. This paper identifies critical gaps in curriculum design and delivery for supply chain education worldwide. Through a literature review, I analyse three primary deficiencies: the theory-practice divide, a lag in adapting to digital technologies such as AI and IoT, and insufficient integration of global and sustainable perspectives. The findings underscore the urgent need for curriculum redesign that embraces experiential learning, embeds digital fluency, and fosters a holistic, sustainable mindset to develop a resilient and future-ready global supply chain workforce.
