Health Financing and Population Health Outcomes Dataset: OECD Countries and Türkiye (2000-2021)
Description
This dataset contains time-weighted health financing indicators and population
health outcomes for 38 OECD countries and Türkiye spanning 2000-2021. The data
support the study "Evaluating Health Financing Typologies Through Healthy Life
Expectancy and Infant Mortality: Evidence from OECD Countries and Türkiye."
DATA CONTENTS:
1. Time-weighted health expenditure indicators (λ=1.5):
- Out-of-pocket expenditure (per capita USD and % GDP)
- Voluntary/private insurance expenditure (per capita USD and % GDP)
- Compulsory public expenditure (per capita USD and % GDP)
2. Health outcome indicators:
- Healthy Life Expectancy at birth (HALE) - overall, male, female
- Infant mortality rates (per 1,000 live births) - overall, male, female
3. Derived analytical variables:
- Principal component scores (3 components)
- Multidimensional scaling coordinates (3 dimensions)
- Cluster assignments (financing typologies)
- TOPSIS performance scores
- Gender gap indicators
4. Supplementary materials:
