Description
Abstract
This study examines the effect of Rajyoga meditation on the sustainable development of happiness among older adults (aged 60+). Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control-group design, the research measures changes in subjective well-being, life satisfaction, positive affect, and resilience over a six-month Rajyoga practice programme. Quantitative tools (standardized happiness and well-being scales) and qualitative interviews are combined to assess both magnitude and sustainability of changes. It is hypothesized that structured Rajyoga practice leads to statistically significant improvement in happiness and that gains are sustained at three-month follow-up. The study contributes to gerontological mental health literature and provides practical implications for community-based aging and wellness programs.
