BUDDHIST THOUGHT OF COMPASSION AND WISDOM AND THE REVOLUTIONARY IDEALS OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF VIETNAM: PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT - POINTS OF CONVERGENCE
Authors/Creators
Description
Throughout the nation's history, Buddhism, with its philosophy of compassion and wisdom, has contributed to shaping the core ethical and cultural values of the Vietnamese people. The Communist Party of Vietnam, inheriting traditional quintessence and creatively applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, has defined its revolutionary ideal as striving for national independence, peace, and sustainable development. This study focuses on clarifying: (1) the value of the Buddhist thought of compassion and wisdom in Vietnamese tradition; (2) the ideal of peace and development in the Party's revolutionary guidelines; and (3) the similarities, intersections, and significance of integrating these two value systems in the current cause of national construction and defense. Promoting the spirit of compassion and wisdom in parallel with the Party's revolutionary ideals will contribute to building a humane, just, and progressive society, while simultaneously enhancing Vietnam's stature in the international community.
