Survey Data on Green Consumer Behavior and Consumption Values for Eco-Friendly Soap Purchases in Indonesia (CSV)
Description
This dataset contains anonymized survey responses used in the research titled “What Drives Green Choices? The Role of Emotions and Consumption Values in Eco-Friendly Soap Purchases.” The data were collected to examine how the five dimensions of the Theory of Consumption Values (functional, emotional, social, conditional, and epistemic value) influence consumer decisions to purchase environmentally friendly soap in Indonesia. The survey was administered online to Indonesian consumers aged eighteen to sixty who had previously purchased eco-friendly soap. The dataset includes responses measuring perceptions related to product performance, emotional experiences, social influences, situational conditions, curiosity-driven motivations, and purchase intentions. Demographic information such as gender, age, occupation, income, and purchasing behavior is also included to support further analysis and segmentation. All variables were measured using Likert-type scales adapted from established literature on sustainable consumption and consumer behavior. The CSV file provides item-level responses for each construct, with each row representing one respondent and each column representing a specific survey item. All personal identifiers have been removed to protect participant privacy, and the data were collected with informed consent. This dataset can be used for replication studies, comparative analyses, advanced modeling in consumer research, and educational purposes in marketing, sustainability, and behavioral science.
