Description

Author's Note on Scope and Companion Paper

This paper provides a detailed architectural and conceptual analysis of the Wisdom Forcing Function (WFF) system. Its purpose is to explain how the architecture works—the design principles, components, and reasoning processes that constitute Frame-Based Principled Reasoning.

Empirical validation of this architecture, including multi-run statistical analysis and experimental evidence of the system's self-correction mechanisms, is provided in the companion paper: "Constitutional Physics: Autopoiesis and Metastability in a Self-Correcting Governance AI" (Arleo, 2025).

Claims about performance, reliability, and stability (such as recovery rates, fitness dynamics, and conformance to universal stability laws) should be evaluated based on the empirical evidence in the companion paper, not on the conceptual analysis presented here.

This paper uses precise technical language (e.g., "deterministic guarantee," "computationally impossible") to describe the intended architectural properties of the system. These terms characterize the design goals and logical structure, not empirically-validated performance characteristics.

Sections 4 and 5 (Empirical Evidence and Emergence of Higher-Order Thought) provide illustrative examples of the system in operation. Section 4 traces a single violation through the healing process using log data. Section 5 describes the metacognitive layer's theoretical capacity for architectural self-modification. Both sections should be read as demonstrations of architectural capability rather than statistical validation.

Readers interested in the empirical performance of this architecture are directed to the Constitutional Physics paper for comprehensive experimental analysis.
