Description

Problem-solving ability (PSA) is a crucial skill for professional trainees in diverse domains such as engineering, education, management, and medicine. This study aims to measure and compare the PSA levels of professional trainees using the standardized Problem-Solving Ability Test developed by L.N. Dubey & C.P.Mathur. A sample of 400 trainees (100 from each engineering, medical, education and management discipline) was assessed. The results indicate significant variations in PSA across different disciplines, with engineering and medical students showing relatively higher mean scores compared to education and management trainees. These findings highlight the need for targeted skill enhancement programs to improve cognitive and decision- making capabilities among professional trainees.
