Plate 6.2 Isotopes in the Water Cycle
Authors/Creators
Description
Most elements constituting matter are composed of a mixture of stable and radiogenic isotopes differing one from the other by their number of neutrons in the atomic nucleus. These isotopes are present in all waters and represent ideal natural tracers for hydrologic processes.
