How are we standardising metadata in the Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI)?
Description
This presentation, delivered by the Dr Aileen Day remotely to the 4th Ontologies4Chem workshop on November 11th 2025, describes the metadata profiles that were included in the first version of the Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI) which was launched in spring this year. We describe the standards used in those and give an example of how these are used to plug a resource into PSDI and its services. We also outline areas for future development, in particular areas that need formal definition and our requirements for these.
