Some Characteristics of Double Vertex Graph

Description

The double vertex graph ๐‘ˆ2(๐บ) of a graph ๐บ of order ๐‘› ≥ 2 is the graph whose vertex set
consists of all (๐‘›2) unordered pairs of vertices of ๐บ and where two vertices {๐‘Ž, ๐‘} and {๐‘, ๐‘‘} are
adjacent if and only if |{๐‘Ž, ๐‘} ∩ {๐‘, ๐‘‘}| = 1 and if ๐‘Ž = ๐‘, then ๐‘ and ๐‘‘ are adjacent in ๐บ. In this
paper, we discuss some properties of ๐‘ˆ2(๐บ) related to degree and distances. We also have
obtained graphs ๐บ whose double vertex graphs contain ๐บ as a subgraph.
