SST-Rosetta-v0.6: Translation Guide for Symbols, Macros, and Constants

  • 1. Independent Researcher, Groningen, The Netherlands

Description

SST-Rosetta-v0.6 — A Translation Guide for Symbols, Macros, and Numerical Constants

Description
This “Rosetta” note provides a rigorous one-to-one mapping between the legacy VAM wording and the Swirl-String Theory (SST) house style—covering symbols, operators, units, and calibrated constants—so manuscripts and code can migrate without ambiguity. It fixes the canonical SST equalities

\( \rho_E=\tfrac12\,\rho_f\|\mathbf{v}_{\circlearrowleft}\|^2,\ \rho_m=\rho_E/c^2,\ K=\rho_{\text{core}} r_c/v_s,\ \rho_f=K\,\Omega \)

and supplies dimensional checks for each quantity, ensuring unit consistency across the stack.

The Rosetta includes compact translation tables (fields/kinematics/operators; densities/velocities/coarse-graining; global scales), with explicit correspondences such as the unit time-like field \( u^\mu=\partial^\mu T/\sqrt{-g^{\alpha\beta}\partial_\alpha T\,\partial_\beta T} \), Kalb–Ramond \( B_{\mu\nu} \) with \( H=\partial_{[\mu}B_{\nu\rho]} \), and the preserved knot invariants

\( C(K),L(K),\mathcal{H}(K) \).  It also standardizes the macro layer ( \( \rho_f,\ \rho_E,\ \rho_m,\ \rho_{\text{core}},\ \mathbf{v}_{\circlearrowleft},\ \|\mathbf{v}_{\circlearrowleft}\| \) ) to prevent notation drift in large projects.

A short temporal ontology clarifies absolute foliation time, external (observer) time, and internal swirl clocks \( S(t) \) / loop proper-time \( T_s \) , separating global synchronization from local rotational dynamics.  Finally, the record lists the published numerical overlaps (e.g., \( \mathbf{v}_{\circlearrowleft} \) , \( r_c \) ,  \( \rho_{\text{core}} \) , background \( \rho_f \) , and sectoral force bounds) for immediate reuse in simulation constants.

What’s included

  • PDF: VAM_SST_Rosetta.pdf (drop-in translation guide with tables, macros, and unit checks).

  • Ready-reference tables for mappings (VAM↔SST), densities/velocities/coarse-graining, and global scales/bounds.

  • Canon-compatible numerical constants and macro glossary.

Intended use

  • As the authoritative nomenclature concordance during the VAM→SST transition.

  • As a style-locking layer for LaTeX macros and symbols across papers and codebases.

  • As a constants anchor for numerical work, guaranteeing reproducible cross-referencing.
