Description

This is the deliverable report of the DiSSCo Prepare Deliverable D5.3 "DiSSCo Digital Specimen Object Specifications". It describes how the specification for the Open Digital Specimen (openDS) model was created by a combined working group from the DiSSCo Prepare Tasks 5.2 and 6.2, how its terms were modelled using the DiSSCo Modelling Framework (DMF), the concepts covered by its first version and how this version was exported into a JSON Schema file for data validation within the DiSSCo Technical Infrastructure and a human readable documentation. The first version of openDS as described here does not claim to be complete, it merely covers the most prominent use cases for openDS and is expected to grow with subsequent releases. - This record has been migrated from the original project repository, cf. related identifiers
