Description
The dataset consists of algal biovolume monitoring data, algal biomass, colony-forming units (CFUs) measured at the end of the cultivation period, removal-% of nitrogen and PO4-P, and nutritional measurements of algal biomass (including total and essential fatty acids, contribution of proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates). The descriptions of the methods used to gather the data are described in the publication "Co-cultivation of mixotrophic non-green algae with the green alga Haematococcus pluvialis in aquaculture effluent" which will be published in 2026. The study was conducted in two parts, Experiment I and Experiment II. Additionally, the effect of added carbon sources (glucose, cellulose, algal necromass) on bacterial abundance was measured. The number of CFUs from that test is presented in the sheet "Bacteria test". In sheets "Experiment I" and "Experiment II" the letter H indicates the presence of Haematococcus pluvialis in algal cultures. More precise strain codes and origins are reported in the related publication.
