Haptic exposure after glued intrascleral haptic fixation

Description
We report a rare case of haptic exposure after glued intrascleral haptic fixation using a modified Yamane technique.
A 39-year-old man presented for postoperative follow-up after combined implantation of an artificial iris and glued intraocular lens fixation following blunt ocular trauma.
Although the implant was well centered and visual acuity remained 10/10, slit-lamp examination revealed a focal haptic extrusion at the temporal conjunctival edge without inflammation or infection.
This case highlights a rare but possible late complication of glued intrascleral fixation, potentially related to scleral fragility or tunnel construction.
Management options and surgical prevention strategies using modified Yamane approaches are discussed.
