Open Spatial Data on 5- and 15-Minute Walking Accessibility to Urban Amenities in Athens, Amsterdam, and Stockholm
Description
This dataset accompanies the paper “Assessing equitable access in X-minute cities through open spatial data” (Milias et al., 2025, Environment and Planning B). It provides open, city-level data on walking accessibility to urban amenities across Athens, Amsterdam, and Stockholm, designed to support the quantitative assessment of spatial equity and proximity in urban environments.
Part of the data can also be explored visually through the open-access interactive map: CThood.
The dataset includes the number of accessible amenities and public places reachable within 5- and 15-minute walking thresholds from each spatial unit (i.e., hexagonal cell).
