Formal SignWriting
Description
Formal SignWriting defines a complete character-encoding model for plain-text sign language using the Sutton SignWriting script.
This upload contains the canonical XML sources for revision 10 of the Internet-Draft draft-slevinski-formal-signwriting, along with generated HTML, TXT, and PDF artifacts. It specifies the Formal SignWriting character sets, grammar, token patterns, symbol encoding, spatial organization, and sequence representation. It also details technical integration for both Formal SignWriting in ASCII (FSW) and SignWriting in Unicode (SWU) formats, including styling string, query languages, and transformations.
The upload is part of the broader Sutton SignWriting effort to standardize digital SignWriting, enable machine-readable sign language text, and provide a foundation for software and font development.
