Description
This repository includes the software implementation for our paper Quark-Diquark Model for Proton-Proton Elastic Scattering with Global Normalization (A. Molina, C. Ávila), DOI: 10.15446/rev.fac.cienc.v8n2.77604. It contains tools to apply the method developed and discussed in the published paper.
Abstract
We present a study of the nucleon-nucleon (an nucleon-antinucleon) elastic differential cross section based on a representation quark-diquark of the nucleon with elastic pomeron. This model increases the real part of the scattering amplitude improving the description of the diffraction minimum. The predictions of the model are compared to the available experimental data within the range of 4.26 GeV through 7 TeV. In order to describe correctly all the experimental data available, an additional normalization, that is energy dependent, has to be applied to the parametrization.
