The Breathing Universe: 401_The Living Lattice of Spacetime

Description

This paper presents the Living Lattice of Spacetime as an integrative framework unifying the Breathing Universe Model (BUM) with the Lattice-Field Medium (LFM). Together, these approaches describe spacetime not as a passive geometric background but as a living, self-regulating lattice of vacuum tension whose oscillatory dynamics give rise to energy, matter, curvature, and coherence across all physical scales.

Within the Breathing Universe Model, Einstein’s constant c squared is reinterpreted as the equilibrium stiffness of spacetime, generalized to a dynamic vacuum-tension field H(t). Energy and mass are related through the conservation law E = m times H(t), with oscillations of H(t) driving relativistic effects, gravitation, quantum quantization, and cosmological expansion. The Lattice-Field Medium provides a discrete realization of the same principle, modeling spacetime as a network of interacting energy cells governed by a local stiffness parameter chi(x,t). By identifying chi(x,t) as the discrete analogue of H(t), the paper bridges continuous and discrete physics within a single causal structure.

The combined framework resolves the apparent dichotomy between continuous spacetime and discrete quantum behavior, showing both to be complementary expressions of one breathing coherence field. Quantization emerges as standing modes of vacuum oscillation, gravitation as gradients of vacuum stiffness, and cosmic expansion as a global breathing phase rather than a singular event. A universal scaling law linking coherence frequency and spatial extent connects atomic, biological, planetary, and cosmological rhythms.

The paper further outlines a concrete program for validation through open simulations, gravitational-wave analysis, cosmological observations, precision timing experiments, and laboratory analogues. By uniting geometry, energy, and coherence in one living lattice, this work positions spacetime itself as the physical medium through which structure, stability, and meaning arise.
