Description
Abstract
The concept of energy as a fundamental substance is an untested ontological commit
ment deeply embedded in modern physics. We perform a rigorous operational audit of
this premise within the holophase framework established in Paper 1 [1], which posits a
single cyclic field, ϕ, as the ontic primitive, with time, space, and motion emerging as
operational readouts via the Tri-Unity 1-form dϕ = ωdt − k · dx. We prove a Stress
Energy Reduction Theorem for ϕ-closed media, demonstrating that all components
of the classical stress-energy tensor are exact combinations of finite, coherence-weighted
averages of the holophase’s temporal cadence (ω) and spatial pattern (k). This reduc
tion leaves no ontological remainder for energy as an independent entity. The Planck
constant, ℏ, is operationally recast from a fundamental quantum of action into a uni
versal bridge constant between native phase counts and SI energy units. We present a
preregistered, power-calibrated battery of Ontological Discrimination Experiments
(P1-P6), complete with Cram´er-Rao Lower Bounds [2], duplicate-pipeline parity, and
False Discovery Rate control [3], designed to test the ontic primacy of energy. The re
sults indicate that within the-closed media tested here, energy functions as a conserved
bookkeeping variable, while phase dynamics provide the ontic substrate. Primary pre
registered prediction (P1): in licensed windows, Deming regression [4, 52] of measured
W
wT00dV against (a/2)D[W] + (b/2)Dk[W] yields slope within 1 ± 0.01, intercept
within 0 ±0.02 (95% BCa CI [5]), and normalized RMSE ¡ 2%, consistent with the
reduction within stated error budgets.

2025-11-03We present a measurement-first, falsifiable holophase framework where time, space, and motion are co-readouts of a single cyclic field. We define windowed, gauge-invariant encoders, derive dynamics and forces from holophase self-interaction, and specify decisive falsification gates.
