Description
Carabus variolosus is a rare and protected species of ground beetle in Poland, reported exclusively from its southern part. The paper presents new data about occurrence of this species from the Polish part of the Eastern Sudetes. Two individuals were found in a riparian forest in the Opawskie Mountains. The site is located within the “Góry Opawskie” Landscape Park and Special Area of Conservation Natura 2000 site: PLH PLH160007.
