The Variability Suite: Manifestos I & II

This project contains two linked manifestos proposing a unified model of variability and consciousness.

Manifesto I – The Chaos Factor reinterprets the imaginary unit i (and χ) as the mathematical representation of intrinsic variability, the “chaos factor” present in every dynamic system.

Manifesto II – The Throttle Theory extends this principle to matter and mind. It defines consciousness as the act of throttling itself: the continuous modulation between chaos (χ) and order (O) that sustains existence.

Together, the texts argue that no system is perfectly stable; all order is a temporary state within ongoing fluctuation. The framework connects physical, biological, and cognitive processes under a single principle of dynamic variability.
