Description
This dataset accompanies the manuscript entitled “Transgenerational genotoxic effects of gamma radiation on Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae): Implications for programs with the Sterile Insect Technique”, currently under review in Acta Tropica.
It contains the raw data and representative images used in the analysis of genotoxic and mutagenic effects induced by gamma radiation in Aedes aegypti males and their F₁ and F₂ progeny. The dataset includes results from the micronucleus assay performed on somatic, germline, and neural tissues.
These data support the main findings of the study, demonstrating dose-dependent induction of heritable DNA damage and validating cytogenetic biomarkers for use in Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) programs.
