Trick or Trial: Our ELN Experiment in Academia

Description
Presentation by Dr Samantha Pearman-Kanza on: Trick or Trial: Our ELN Experiment in Academia, for Lab Innovations 2025.
Abstract: In 2025, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Southampton conjured a bold experiment: replacing scattered lab records with the Revvity Signals ELN. Thirty-six researchers across twelve groups joined the trial, logging over 120 experiments weekly. This talk lifts the lid on our cauldron of insights: the good (streamlined workflows, ChemDraw integration), the eerie (login gremlins, hardware woes), and the undead (Health & Safety forms reborn inside the ELN). With the right support, a full School-wide rollout is more treat than trick.
