This article analyzes the images of the rich and the poor in fairy tale therapy from a psycholinguistic perspective. The symbolic opposition between these two figures in fairy tales plays an important role in the social and psychological development of children. From a psycholinguistic standpoint, the images of the rich and the poor, as semantic antitheses, help shape children’s understanding of justice, labor, patience, and social inequality. Research shows that these images support children’s cognitive, emotional, and social adaptation processes during fairy tale therapy. Moreover, they serve as an effective means of developing children’s speech, imagination, and problem-solving skills. Thus, through the imagery of the rich and the poor, fairy tale therapy has not only therapeutic but also educational and moral significance.
