Description
Abstract
This study investigated the effect of mobile phone usage on students' academic performance among Gombe State University undergraduates. A survey research design was adopted, and 300 questionnaires were distributed to students. The findings revealed a high level of mobile phone usage among students, with most using their phones for entertainment and education. The study also found that mobile phone usage has both positive and negative effects on academic performance. While some students use their phones for academic purposes, others are distracted by social media and other non-academic activities. The study recommends that students use their mobile phones judiciously and that educators incorporate mobile phone technology into their teaching methods to enhance learning.
