BETTER4U_Deliverable_9.1_Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation Plan

Description

Executive Summary

This deliverable presents a comprehensive plan of the communication, dissemination, and exploitation (CDE) activities planned for the BETTER4U project. The CDE plan is a key tool that helps achieve the project’s objectives. It describes the project’s approach to disseminating and exploiting the results as well as communicating the research with various audiences.

This CDE plan falls under Work Package 9: Methodology Guidelines for Personalized Lifestyle Recommendations & Dissemination, Exploitation, Communication Plan. The plan is delivered as part of Task 9.1., “Strategy for dissemination, exploitation and communication activities”. The first version of the CDE was submitted in Month 6 of the project (April 2024).

The European Food Information Council (EUFIC), as WP9 leader, in close collaboration with the project coordination team Harokopio University (HUA), exploitation partners WINGS ICT Solutions (WINGS), task leaders and the entire consortium, is responsible for designing, preparing and implementing the CDE activities during the project lifespan. The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) is a key partner supporting EUFIC in ensuring inclusive and people-centred language in the communication approach.

Starting from the analysis conducted in Chapter 2.2 of the Grant Agreement (Measures to Maximize Impact), the CDE plan outlines specific communication and dissemination activities that will be developed to address individual needs in line with the BETTER4U scope and expected impact. The CDE plan identifies key target audiences and contains a first version of the exploitation strategy, to be detailed and consolidated at a later stage by WINGS (Deliverable 9.7).

This deliverable is a living document that will be fine-tuned on an annual basis. This iterative approach allows for improvements in our strategies and regularly assesses BETTER4U activities based on results, lessons learned and feedback collected from target audiences and stakeholders interacting with the project. It also considers the possible changing context and environment in which the project operates.

Following the first six months of BETTER4U - dedicated mainly to the development of the CDE plan and cementing the operational elements (i.e., brand identity, project website, templates etc.) - the next steps will concn the implementation of the activities detailed in this deliverable.
