THE LAW OF AGRICULTURAL LAND RECLAMATION IN MODERN REALITIES: MISSION AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS
Authors/Creators
Description
Abstract
Based on a retrospective analysis of the mission and development trends of agricultural land reclamation, within the context of assessing crop water demand standards within the «impact-change-consequences» triad, trends and directions of changes in natural processes were identified. Within this ideological framework, a law of agricultural land reclamation and four of its most important consequences for understanding ways to ensure the environmental sustainability of agricultural lands were formulated. These consequences open the possibility of conducting a comprehensive assessment of the state of river basin watersheds, which are the spatial bases for population and economic activity, and developing a unified program for their improvement within the context of the triad: ecology (ensuring the quality of the human habitat), economy (increasing the purchasing power of society), and society (improving the well-being of the population).
