Description

This is the replication package supporting the paper "Dynamic self-loops in networks of passive and active binary elements"

https://arxiv.org/abs/2110.01516

It contains:

ProliferationSelfLoops
- Simulation package and walkthrough notebook to reproduce Table 1 of the main text, i.e., count the number of (realizable) self-loops for a given number of binary elements involved.

FIG1
- Panels from Fig. 1 of the main text.

FIG2
- Panels from Fig. 2 of the main text.
- Notebook with all the simulation scripts and plotting functions to measure the statistical properties of linearly interacting hysterons (e.g., self-loops and gaps statistics).

FIG3
- Panels from Fig. 3 of the main text.
- Notebook with all the simulation scripts and plotting functions to characterize the behavior of serially-coupled bilinear force-displacement curves.

FIG4
- Panels from Fig. 4 of the main text.
- Simulation scripts, data, and notebook with plotting functions to characterize the response to cyclic drive of linearly interacting hysterons (self-loop-free ensembles).
- Notebook with the simulation scripts and plotting functions to characterize avalanches in linearly interacting hysterons (self-loop-free ensembles).
