Description
Pakistan’s acute vulnerability to environmental degradation and climate change necessitates a paradigm shift in how environmental education is approached. This article draws on emerging global scholarship and youth-led practice to propose a human-centered framework for advancing environmental literacy in Pakistan. We critique the limits of traditional awareness-based education and argue for participatory, contextualized, and youth-driven approaches. Highlighting EcoRevival Pakistan as a grassroots case study, the paper offers a model that empowers learners to become informed environmental stewards. A five-part framework is introduced to guide implementation across formal and informal educational contexts.
