Marco conceptual sobre la fisiología del sueño, la atención y la evaluación de la calidad del sueño en población universitaria joven

Este documento presenta un marco conceptual actualizado sobre los principales procesos fisiológicos y cognitivos relacionados con el sueño y la atención, con especial énfasis en la calidad del sueño evaluada mediante el Índice de Pittsburgh (PSQI). Se revisan las bases neurofisiológicas del sueño, la arquitectura de sus fases, los subtipos de atención y su relación con el rendimiento cognitivo. Además, se discuten brevemente las implicaciones del sueño insuficiente sobre la función atencional en adultos jóvenes. Este marco busca servir como referencia conceptual para investigaciones futuras en población universitaria latinoamericana.
