OUR VALUES ARE UNDER THREAT

This manifesto, titled “Our Values Are Under Threat”, is a public declaration on the moral and historical responsibility of Europe to defend the principles of democracy, human dignity, justice, freedom, and cultural integrity. It recalls the immense human cost — nearly 250 million lives lost — through centuries of wars, revolutions, persecutions, and struggles that shaped modern European civilization.

It warns against the growing threats of authoritarianism, discrimination, and institutional complacency, urging a renewed commitment to the rule of law, equality, and artistic and intellectual freedom.

This manifesto represents a moral appeal rather than a political statement. It is a collective reminder that the protection and advancement of human values are not optional ideals but ethical imperatives that determine the future of Europe and humanity.
