Description

Eumorpha vitis vitis (Linnaeus, 1758)

General distribution. South USA to Argentina including the West Indies.

Distribution in the DR. Widespread throughout the country.

Habitat. The species is more restricted to forested environments than the previous. It flies at the same elevations, from 0 to 1700 m.

Host plants. Vitaceae, genus Cissus and Ampelopsis.
