OpenAIRE Knowledge Commons Café Part 1: Who Owns Our Knowledge in the Age of AI and Federated Science
Description
As part of International Open Access Week 2025 and this year's theme “Who Owns Our Knowledge?”, OpenAIRE presents the Knowledge Commons Café: Who Owns the Knowledge?, a two-part series of open conversations on trust, AI, and the future of open knowledge.
These are the presentation slides for the first session, which explores the intersection of rights, value, and governance in the era of AI and Open Science.
Building on the discussions and insights from our session at OSFair 2025, this work draws on findings from the EOSC Beyond and LLMs4EU projects to present emerging frameworks for rights metadata, licensing, and the responsible use of research outputs in federated infrastructures.
