Asteroseismic analysis of a young circumstellar disc-hosting A star HD 110058

Description

HD 110058 is a young A0 star known to host a circumstellar disk similar to that of β Pictoris, located in the Lower Centaurus-Crux subgroup of the Sco-Cen OB association. We analyzed photometric data from TESS Sectors 10 and 11 and identified multiple pulsation frequencies consistent with δ Scuti-type variability. Using the observed oscillation spectrum, we constructed an échelle diagram and identified frequency modes with spherical degrees l = 0 and l = 1.
To further characterize the star, we generated stellar structure models using MESA and computed their pulsation properties with GYRE. By comparing the observed and modeled frequencies, we identified radial orders in the range n = 4–7. Our preliminary best-fitting model yields a stellar mass of 1.53 ± 0.02 solar masses and an age of 8.60 ± 0.33 Myr. Our age estimate is considerably younger than previous estimates for the Sco-Cen subgroup and could provide an additional benchmark for constraining the age of the association.
