The king Pari has a unique place in the Sangam literature. He is the one who gave his golden chariot to a Mullai creeper to spread itself. In the passage of time, his name still comes to mind when the word Mullai is uttered. The modern Tamil author S.Venkatesan has written a novel on the life of Pari entitled “Veera Yuga Nayagan Velpari”.
