Home Remedies: Gruha Vaidyapatangal

Ayurveda has a vital role in the field of treatment, since our human body is a complex machine. Home remedies have proved its excellence in various maladies. But in some cases, allopathic assistance is necessary for patient’s care. In short, every system of medicine has its own role in treatment. If the situation demands the need of an allopathic doctor, never be hesitant to do so.

The author is happy to know that his several home remedies are being practised by many, including allopathic doctors, and they recommend them to their relatives. They also follow his  YouTube channel and sometimes support me through positive responses. The effectiveness of my remedies in many is what inspired the author to publish this book in 2 languages (Malayalam and English). He has been learning deeply about these remedies and their purification methods for the last 40 years. He firmly  believes that these simple knowledge will be greatly helpful for the upcoming generations and a boon for all, especially the future doctors. Images of the plants are also included for reference. Try these remedies initially and if not cured, seek medical assistance immediately. Antony Vaidyar (b. 2 February 1958, Vazhavatta, Wayanad) is an Ayurvedic practitioner and educator formed by gurukula training that begun in 1975. For over three decades he has led an Ayurvedic hospital and a Public Charitable Trust, conducting free monthly medical camps—especially for tribal communities—through Thudikkala Kendram Echom. He teaches practical home-remedy wisdom online and in sessions for schools, parent groups, churches, and forums, and has authored five books.

His service has been recognised with honours including the National People’s Legal Welfare Forum award for Ayurvedic care, the Deepika and Veekshanam awards, the Mananthavady Diocese Sreshta Puraskaram, and the North Kerala Poetry Forum’s Mahakavi Olappamanna award. He also holds certificates from AYUSH and yoga initiatives.
