This report documents the history, structure, and operations of the María Madre Association of Bilbao, an entity founded in 1969 and linked to the network of newborn abductions and trafficking in the Spanish State during the Franco dictatorship and the democratic transition.
Prepared by the Platform of Victims of the María Madre Association of Bilbao and coordinated by Olmo Gómez Aldaz, the document brings together legal, historical, biographical, and expert materials that demonstrate the systematic nature of these practices, their institutional protection, and the persistence of their effects today.

The IAMM (María Madre Association Report) is both an investigative and public denunciation work with evidentiary value, comprising:

  • Notarial, ecclesiastical, and judicial records.

  • Biological and DNA evidence of filiation.

  • Historical and legal analysis of the Francoist full adoption system (Law 7/1970).

  • Documentation from direct victims.

  • Statutes, board, and registry of the María Madre Association.

  • Psychological expert report and press dossier.

This work forms part of the initiatives for memory, truth, justice, and reparation for the victims of identity theft and fraudulent adoptions in Spain.

Abstract (Spanish)

El presente informe documenta la historia, estructura y operativa de la Asociación María Madre de Bilbao, una entidad creada en 1969 y vinculada a la trama de sustracción y tráfico de recién nacidos en el Estado español durante el franquismo y la transición democrática.
El documento, elaborado por la Plataforma de Víctimas de la Asociación María Madre de Bilbao y coordinado por Olmo Gómez Aldaz, reúne materiales jurídicos, históricos, biográficos y periciales que demuestran el carácter sistemático de dichas prácticas, su amparo institucional y la continuidad de sus efectos en la actualidad.

El IAMM (Informe Asociación María Madre) constituye una pieza de investigación y denuncia pública, con valor probatorio, que integra:

  • Archivos notariales, eclesiásticos y judiciales.

  • Pruebas biológicas de filiación y ADN.

  • Análisis histórico-jurídico de la adopción plena franquista (Ley 7/1970).

  • Documentación de víctimas directas.

  • Estatutos, junta y registro de la Asociación María Madre.

  • Informe pericial psicológico y dossier de prensa.

Este trabajo se enmarca dentro de las iniciativas de memoria, verdad, justicia y reparación por las víctimas de sustracción de identidad y adopciones fraudulentas en España.
