ESTUDO DAS MANIFESTAÇÕES PATOLÓGICAS NA FACHADA DE CONSTRUÇÃO HISTÓRICA EM PALMEIRA DOS ÍNDIOS

RESUMO

O presente estudo pretende avaliar manifestações patológicas no exterior da fachada frontal do prédio 
histórico construído em 1971, conhecido como Museu Xucurus de História, Artes e Costumes, localizado no 
município de Palmeira dos Índios/AL, região do agreste alagoano. As fachadas, em especial, possuem muitas 
enfermidades que podem prejudicar a parte externa da edificação e comprometer o seu interior. Nesse sentido, foi 
efetuado um levantamento de manifestações patológicas existentes, identificando, analisando e rastreando as 
origens das anomalias no processo construtivo, procurando-se definir as possíveis causas. De forma específica, 
este trabalho visa apresentar os principais tipos de manifestações patológicas existentes na fachada, suas 
características e analisar os principais problemas patológicos encontrados. As principais anomalias encontradas 
foram fissuras, manchas, originadas pela falta de qualidade no projeto e dos materiais, aliados a uma inexistente 
manutenção preventiva e reparativa, o que contribuiu para a sua degradação.

ABSTRACT 

The present study aims to evaluate pathological manifestations on the exterior of the front 
façade of the historic building constructed in 1971, known as the Xucurus Museum of History, Arts, and 
Customs, located in the municipality of Palmeira dos Índios/AL, in the Agreste region of Alagoas. 
Facades, in particular, are prone to various ailments that can damage the exterior of the building and 
compromise its interior. In this context, a survey of existing pathological manifestations was conducted, 
identifying, analyzing, and tracing the origins of the anomalies in the construction process to define 
possible causes. Specifically, this work aims to present the main types of pathological manifestations on 
the façade, their characteristics, and analyze the primary pathological problems identified. The main 
anomalies found were cracks and stains, caused by poor project quality and materials, combined with a 
lack of preventive and corrective maintenance, which contributed to the building's degradation.
