A Circular Ontology of Matter, Information, Consciousness, and History (Toward a Self-Referential Theory of Existence)

Description

What if the universe is not a straight line, but a circle that thinks?

This essay unfolds a circular ontology — a vision in which matter, information, consciousness, and history form a single, self-reflective loop.
Matter gives rise to information.
Information crystallizes into consciousness.
Consciousness writes history.
And history, in turn, reshapes matter.

Drawing from systems theory, philosophy of mind, and information science, this work suggests that the cosmos is an autopoietic system — a self-generating, self-knowing whole.

Through this lens, the borders between physics and thought, between data and meaning, dissolve into a living recursion:
a loop where existence dreams itself into being.
