Description
The purpose of Section 1.2.1 is to provide a brief overview of biodiversity monitoring through human history, and to articulate how the motivations for biodiversity monitoring and the organizations conducting it have changed through time. The section also aims to present a nice infographics about the history of ecological monitoring, visualising the most important milestone events along a timeline.
