Description
Contribution to the knowledge of the genetic diversity of the flea tapeworm Dipylidium caninum (Linnaeus, 1758) (Cyclophyllidea: Dipylidiidae) from Poland, based on the sequence analysis of the gene encoding the 28S ribosomal RNA subunit. This paper presents the results of a study on the molecular divergence of the flea tapeworm Dipylidium caninum from Poland, based on the analysis of the 28S nuclear subunit sequence. The results showed no differences between samples from Poland and a populations from different countries and continents. The association of genetic variation with host rather than geographical location was confirmed.
