Description
Abstract (English)
This work aims to analyze how the variability of the solar cycle affects radio communications, focusing on the effects of sunspots and space weather on the ionosphere. Using historical data and specialized literature, we investigate the correlation between solar activity and the quality of signal propagation across different frequency bands. Evidence of
interference in radio communication systems during solar maximums was examined, as well as structural changes in the ionosphere. The results indicate a direct relationship between the number of sunspots and the variation of electron density in the ionosphere’s F layer. We conclude that understanding solar behavior is essential for mitigating adverse effects on terrestrial telecommunications.
