Description
Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the photosynthetic activity and study the parameters of the water regime in 17 triticale hybrids and their 6 parental forms under water deficit conditions. The parameters of the water regime were assessed in the conditions of Apsheron during the plant seedling emergence phase. The samples were grown on the field experimental plot of the Institute of Genetic Resources under irrigation and water deficit conditions. It was found that under water deficit, the relative water content, relative turgescence and water absorption capacity decreased in most samples. Water deficit and water-holding capacity increased. In some samples, along with a slight increase in the amount of photosynthetic pigments under water deficit conditions, their degradation to varying degrees was observed. Based on the results obtained, it was found that triticale hybrids are more resistant to water deficit than their parental forms.
