Deserticossus arenicola (Staudinger, 1879)

Material examined. GEORGIA • 1♂; Shida Kartli, Saguramo Reserve; 1000–1200 m a.s.l.; leg. E. A. Didmanidze; 24 August 1970; SJMG • 1♂; Shiomgvime; leg. E. Didmanidze; 7 July 1983; SJMG • 1♂; Dedoplistskaro Mun., Vashlovani NP; N41.1183°, E46.6405°; 114 m a.s.l.; leg. J. Junnilainen; 25 July 2022; JJVF.
Remarks. The species is found in the Caucasus and Central Asia, Russia (Volga and South Ural regions). The reported host plants are Tamarix L. and Caragana Lam. (Yakovlev 2006, Yakovlev & Witt 2017). For distribution in Georgia, see Fig. 44.
