Description
Tsaraphycis mimeticella (Staudinger, 1879)
(Figs 8a–d)
Material examined: Luhansk reg., Starobilsk distr., between Novobila vill. & Trembacheve vill., 11.VI.2021, 1♂ S. Tsykal leg. (ST).
Distribution in Ukraine: Crimea: Budashkin 1992: 25 (Adelosemia incredibilis [misident.]), 2004: 344 (Megasis), 2006: 275 (Megasis). First record from continental Ukraine.
Remarks. In Ukraine, known to this day from Crimea, this species was collected in a single male specimen (Figs 8a–b) in the steppes of Luhansk region within the Bilenka River gully, characterized by limestone outcrops. The male antennae are characterized by the absence of a sinus and the presence of a row of setae from the anterior edge, whose height is half the thickness of the flagellum (Figs 8c–d).
