Description
Within the framework of social sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worldwide, the participation of urban individuals in decision-making and design processes related to their living environment is becoming increasingly important. In this context, the primary objective of this study is to examine how digital participation methods are applied in the design of urban public spaces, evaluate the effectiveness of these methods, and contribute to participatory design approaches that prioritize social sustainability. To this end, trends, focal points, and challenges encountered in national and international studies published between 2015 and 2025 were examined. The data obtained through a repetitive and thematic screening process was classified under the and authors, year, scope, and method, and presented in tabular form, thereby proposing a comprehensive framework that could serve as a resource for future studies.
