Description
Se reporta por primera vez en el país la presencia de Deliathis bifurcatus, siendo que su único registro de presencia documentado se situaba en el lugar de colecta del holotipo (Honduras). Tras la identificación de especímenes en la plataforma de iNaturalist se confirma su presencia en El Salvador, y con el presente hallazgo en Nicaragua se amplía el conocimiento de su distribución, pasando a ser una especie trinacional.
Abstract
First record of Deliathis bifurcatus (Dillon & Dillon, 1941) in Nicaragua (Cerambycidae: Coleoptera).
The presence of Deliathis bifurcatus has been reported for the first time in the country, with the only documented record of its presence being at the holotype collection site (Honduras). Following the identification of specimens on the iNaturalist platform, its presence in El Salvador has been confirmed, and with this discovery in Nicaragua, knowledge of its distribution has been expanded, making it a tri-national species.
